I realise a lot of people want an excuse for Starmer to go. I am not naive. (Nor am I a Starmer 'stan', a belittling phrase I see too often on here.)

But if you get rid of Keir Starmer because of your disgust with Epstein, no one, ever, is going to satisfy your purity test.

He made a mistake but dont recall many in the media jumping up and down and saying it was. Indeed many endorsed the appointment of Mandelson.

True I don't know but looking at the decisions and direction it would appear a small group, admittedly not like by those on the left, have been advising him and suggest he widens that circle of advisors and pull in people with more left leaning thoughts.

Is Starmers failure the fact that he thought because of the very large Labour majority in the HofC he did not need to listen to the more left leaning MPs and has created a division within the party. He needs to listen much more to that side of the party and get advised accordingly.

But he was not aware of Mandelson passing secret financial information to Epstein or the depth of his grubby association with the convicted paedophile.

The media didn't jump up and down at the time when Mandelson was made US ambassador (reservations maybe) indeed people like Michael Gove thought it was a good idea. Starmer has made a mistake but this is a right wing media campaign promoted by the far left to smear him and to remove him.

Keep your eyes on the bigger picture. The UK media does not eject PMs. Electorates do that.

Tory MPs too. Thatcher was the first they evicted, then May, then 🤡Johnson, then 🤦‍♀️Truss. Labour MPs don’t.

I'm 85 next month & I've seen them all from Churchill to Attlee to the present day. Trust me when I say that I know the real deal when I see it. They all had their flaws, but Starmer far less than the others. He has to be given time & space to do what needs doing, what needs fixing. He will do it.

One million percent accuracy. We hold those opposing the far right to far more account than we do for the likes of Farage and his ilk. Starmer is a terrible PM but there are actual helpful policies being implemented. Reform in power would be a national disaster.

This is simultaneously (1) garbage: Labour has done nothing remotely as bad as the Tories' industrial scale VIP corruption and (2) proof:

I don't think Prime Minister Keir Starmer should lose his job. He's not in the Epstein files. He was unaware of Mandelson's emails which calls for questions about UK intelligence. What it does mean is that the files should be released in full & government can cleanse house.

The media has been hell-bent on making Farage Prime Minister since the last election.

I think there are two problematic characters in the Labour party and should be removed. Both lack any connection with the majority of voters.
