We've got ppl supposedly leaking "classified" JWST images of 3I/ATLAS, Avi Loeb gearing everybody up for first contact & the scientific community getting more & more agitated at any suggestion it might not be a comet.

The truth is out there, folks.

Curiouser and curiouser: 3I/ATLAS is looking more like a very red "type-D asteroid," according to observations from the Seimei/TriCCS observatory in Japan (Oumuamua was also red). Unlike Oumuamua, stable brightness (not tumbling)

My read: the purpose of his write ups is to lay the groundwork for a more open mind & dialogue when/as new surveys discover many more interstellar objects soon

Not sure why it's insanely unlikely 3I/ATLAS might be an alien object.

We've literally only ever seen 3 interstellar objects & 1 (Oumuamua) behaved strangely. The idea that interstellar objects are natural by default needs to be proven, just as much as the alternative.

When asked to do a deep dive analysis on 3I/ATLAS, #ChatGPT concluded it's 99% likely to be a comet.

HOWEVER, it also flagged signals to watch for, like non-gravitational acceleration. When I pointed out that Oumuamua's non-g/a didn't change scientists' minds, it said this:
