I think this is why some of the best games are by smaller groups; less Corp pressure to confirm. Most of my favorites are by small or mid-sized, usually European companies. Blue Prince, Talos Principle, KCD, The Witness etc

01.10.2025 14:40 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think I learned this trick from an earlier vid of yours. (And 50%) I wonder if the pure glycerol gets on the walls, if you can arm-centrifuge it. (Stand still and spin it around out) to get it to the bottom, or if it's too stubborn.
01.10.2025 00:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Addendum: Stay away from OpenSCAD and FreeCAD. Your time is valuable.
30.09.2025 17:43 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0SolidWorks slaps. But probably too expensive unless you have student or veteran credentials. (Then it's $25/year).
Biggest tip: separate concerns. E.g. CAD, printer tuning/slicing, and design-for-manufacturing (tailoring your CAD to 3D printers) should be decoupled
This book slaps! (All/most Sagan books do. I think SoFA is especially relevant right now to help people understand each other)
28.09.2025 15:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I've never witnessed the take off. Once airborne, they seem to soar endlessly. I bet they put those wings into motion briefly! (Or not based on waiting for an updraft??)

25.09.2025 23:18 โ ๐ 39 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think dreaming and exploring possibilities is a nice thing to do. Critically, but it's so easy to point out how or why something couldn't/shouldn't work. Then find out there is one or more incorrect assumption. Maybe I'm too half-full. It's a bal between this and not wasting resources on dead ends
25.09.2025 20:03 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0No, but Django slaps. The rust web ecosystem is mostly Flask-analogs; suited for microservices, but not websites. It's all Async as well. Web backend is one area I don't feel rust is ready for yet. (But would like it to be!)
23.09.2025 21:34 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Did you dump the MG due to maintenance problems? Or really wanted Bluetooth. Seems like a winning move other than that

18.09.2025 14:24 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0As Emil said, prob within tolerance. Granted, I've measured much closer to spec for ICM42xx @ 8k. In some applications, you drive the whole system operation from IMU updates, so can be important. You can add a dedicated XTAL for some IMUs to get tighter timing.
16.08.2025 17:25 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A next step may be applying a digital filter; useful at that measure rate. Maybe an IIR lowpass depending on the application.
15.08.2025 23:51 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0We can do better! Leave the hype and lies to Silicon-Valley companies and VCs.
15.08.2025 14:21 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0This is fantastic! Is the intent to use this to tune and validate traditional MD models using data that better captures protein flexibility? Or new/augmented models?

11.08.2025 21:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm excited about it! Loved the Fagles Odyssey translation. Loved Nolan before I knew who he was - just knew my favorite movies were A, B, and C... Turned out they had the same director. Stoked for this!

10.08.2025 03:06 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I loved the science MOOCs from MitX that came out ~10 years ago. Then... nothing. They stopped producing ones, and the others I found weren't on the same level. Bummer. (But those originals are still available!)
09.08.2025 19:58 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Updated [lin-alg](github.com/David-OConno...) with 512-bit SIMD support (f64x8, f32x16). Std-compatible floats, Vec3, Vec4, and Quaternion types.
Thx to the compiler team for including this in std on v1.89
