Tomorrow, February 28, let’s disrupt the status quo by spending ONLY at businesses that uplift our communities.

That means:
🚫 No gas from corporate giants
🚫 No fast food chains
🚫 No big-box retailers (Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc.)

The story is fun, adventurous and action packed. The artwork is excellent and the writing was storytelling at its finest. It is also an excellent critique of history and how authors such as Twain used writing to sugar coat and skew our perceptions of history.

Big Jim and the White Boy reimagines and even expands on Twain’s, The Adventures of Huck Finn. It is centered around Jim but weaves in several generations of storytelling from Jim’s family ranging from the 1930’s to present day. #booksky #history
