Pretty sure name Isaac Stein indicates he's jewish. If so does this latest PC rule apply to Black people too? MUST I now spew hate at any Black who speaks "the N word?" That's a more clear-cut case than shyster, which people retroactively decided is etymologically racist, despite lack of evidence:

The only specific example of "subservience" this article presents is that the EU reimposing sanctions on Iran in September. Before then pointing out they bucked the US by some recognizing Palestine state, and they simply CAN'T do other things because of Orban & constitutional consensus requirement.

Which part of

1) they tried a more gerrymandered map in 2022 but it was struck down by courts as "gerrymandered"
2) the current map is no longer legally challengeable but any changes reopens that

Yes, he explained his reasoning in the 3-page letter that is linked in the article. But I sense most others posting replies haven't even read the summary in the article. Let alone read & reflected on reasoning in his letter.

If a President can merely be accused of being unaware of what was done in their name in order to declare their past acts as President null and void, well then ... hmmm ... things may get interesting in 2029 (if not before).

EMALS isn't a "dud." It's simply new. Ford & the Chinese ship have kinks to work out, but advantages are numerous: faster launch cycles, capacity to handle wider range of aircraft size/type precisely. By yout defn, most significant new tech is a "dud."

I watched Sam Stein's interview; while it still didn't clarify many things for me - I recall it was around 20m where Stein straight out asked "Why now?" & answer wasn't clean (primarily "I couldn't face telling my kid someday that I did it all for a paycheck") - I did find him at least authentic

I've noticed this in some ICE footage, some of them don't know how to handle their weapons properly.

The article suggests that at least part of what they are doing is enabled (is legal?) because of some unusual things that Congress approved in the "Big Beautiful Bill" (read last paragraph in particular)

I differ with the "no excuses" aspect, but otherwise does seem potentially courageous (TBD; if he's trying to land gigs at Bulwark, MSNBC etc it might seem calculated in hindsight)

He says doesn't want to, then lists some anyway (student loans, supporting family, etc). Valid perhaps, but not "none"

...It's illuminating what he said in one tangent, he was pro-life until his wife's non-viable pregnancy experience. Though he's even vague here.

I see this a lot of GOP, even "principled" stands on things like abortion melt away when it impacts THEM. Which takes me back to "why NOW, specifically?"

I appreciate that he stepped forward and owned his past mistakes. I don't want be critical of a positive decision by delving into how he got there, but do wonder "why now, specifically?" That's not really addressed. Was it ENTIRELY his choice? He never describes the decision? (I did kinda skim it).
