Genuinely not comfortable with the new line, being repeated in all quarters, that Brexit happened "cos we were lied to!"
I had access to all the same obvious & indisputable evidence as every other Brit at the time. No one forced anyone to vote Leave. Live with your conscience. Cowards.

I suspect that my beloved & I are lucky to not have wider circles. We are likely unbearably lovey-dovey by most standards. We've definitely already long beaten my entire prior life total of times someone has complimented me & I've believed it, & it's only been months since we started.

This goes double for changes to products' formulae or full discontinuation.
E.g. Sanex did an antiperspirant I could use without reaction for a handful of years then chucked it in.

The anxiety is real. When you've found something that works for you & it wears out or runs out, there's no way to know if anything will work as well again. Even something as simple as a tea-strainer. When minute changes in weight & design can ruin everything? It's exhausting.

In one of those access is weird moments, the little tea-strainer I bought for 17p from QD 17 years ago [cheap plastic with steel mesh], which I ended up using to grind herbs by gently rubbing them through, has begun to surrender to metal fatigue.
What if they just don't make them like they used to?

I mean, we've got loads of cool stuff to see & do too - even more if you venture out to the near countryside - but our food is definitely a serious highpoint.
Also the peeps at Namaste are seriously good eggs, which a lot of restaurant owners seem to forget is an option.

Living in the capital of veggie/vegan food has its perks.
Like gorging myself on veggie korma & gulub jamun.
And also watching my veggie beloved be delighted by choice & variety.
Namaste Village is reason to visit the city all on its own.

This is eugenics.

This is what disabled people are trying to warn you about.

People with learning disabilities had DNRs placed in their files, without consent, during the early days of COVID.

Now this man was left to die:

It's the Imperial War Museum now so they'd probably be right at home.

Ultimately they snapped in half for the same reason the Comets exploded: we didn't understand the science yet.
Square hatches produced stress cracking, the steel contained too much potassium & sulphur to remain ductile at cold temps, *any* welding doesn't arrest cracks.

What should be celebrated as one of the greatest achievements in labour by the people, for the people, saving lives all over the world by teaching willing volunteers new skills, is unfairly maligned by so many still believing the original [wrong] conclusion.

Genuinely glad to find Oceanliner Designs aiding in dispelling the myth of "bad welding" being what took out the Liberties & T2s. It was a poor excuse for racism & misogyny at the time, even, but now we actually understand the basic metallurgy, brittle fractures in steel, it's just a lie.

This also feeds into the reason societies & individuals so often join the attack, if only tacitly. We lay bare the interconnectedness & interdependence of all humanity. "Independent Living" is a hoax. Everything we have, everything we are, depends on everyone else.

I am genuinely surprised that at least one of Big Pharma hasn't raised the issue that killing all the disabled people would destroy their profit margin.
Our continued existence funds breakthroughs across the world.

Part of the reason so many governments attack disabled people who can't work is capitalism. We aren't using our labour to make someone else rich.
Never mind that we still pay tax on top of the massively increased cost of disability. Never mind that everything we need help with is a job created.

Anyone still arguing that the ID scheme is anything other than fascism when our current government is publicly labelling protected human rights as "Un-British" is telling you exactly who they are.

Had As [Mary J. Blige & George Michael] stuck in my head for days. Keep absentmindedly singing it & moving to it.
Love being an uplifting joy is so new my brain still doesn't know quite what to do with it.

Not that certain themes are common in the games I own but so many had October news the tab at the top of my Steam library was 4 scrolls long, all new.

She didn't notice anything had happened until I said out loud but quietly "No" & she looked up from her book to see me staring at the fork in my hand like it was lit dynamite [her words]. Having friends I could openly discuss my mental health with: also key.

I really do mean casually. I was still just eating my chips but my left hand deftly twirled the fork & readied for a cluster-stab before I was consciously involved. Luckily I also have extensive experience quelling homicidal urges on account of all the clifftop walks mother would take us on.

contacted my GP who told me to stop taking them. This was on day 3 of the new med. So if it *is* a wider problem it's cos people don't have proper holistic care access. I *could* get an emergency appointment on the NHS within hours & resolve the issue. Also, my prescriptions are free.

The thing that really gets me about the whole "SSRIs can make you homicidal" thing is I am one of those chemically weird people that they can have this effect on. I nearly stabbed my best friend with a fork for stealing a chip, as casually as breathing, but I didn't & we immediately

My most sadly unfinished old project, begun as a gift for someone who then ghosted, is a cross-stitch of a tie-dye. It took me two years to get as far as I did with my hands as they are now, the haberdasher thought I was mad but was terribly excited to help me match colours. Fun while it lasted.

People only need jobs cos of capitalism; what we really each need is fulfilment. Yet our societies are so weighted toward the former it often takes losing everything for people to discover the latter.
He's producing masterpieces daily. Fulfilment is beautiful.

Mim so didn't trust trousered laps because of this. If you wanted her to sit on you, you had to wear a skirt or cover your legs with a blanket.
Because, of course, the fall was the two-legs' fault.

The evil mega-practice that ate my GP surgery has now introduced rules to prevent pharmacists from advocating for the patients they routinely fail at every step.
Because someone else still living by Do No Harm makes the rest of the NHS look bad.

Just discussing with my beloved how Starmer is forcing through the no affordable food law as part of his plan to force-tradwife the UK by stealth.
You know, normal good morning conversation in a progressing dictatorship.

Just blocked some bloke for suggesting that the phrase "crash out" is a new invention of the very young being appropriated by older people, cos I am too damned old to put up with "one google would've saved you from being wrong"-lazy.
