If you’re an American service member who gets killed in a retaliatory strike, your family can take comfort in the fact that it was done in service of making the host of Celebrity Apprentice feel like a big man for a minute, before he moved on to something else and forgets about this forever

America's strongest Ally just told Trump to take a flying leap about using UK airbases to attack Iran. America now has no allies in the entire world. No one trusts them anymore.

If Republicans cared about election integrity, the president wouldn’t have pardoned those involved in the January 6th insurrection. They’re only pushing for stricter voter ID laws now because they know that it will reduce voter turnout and benefit them at the polls.

America gave up kings 250 years ago and adopted a system in which β€œno one is above the law.”

But presidents? SCOTUS gives them immunity.

Corporations? SCOTUS makes it easier for them to pollute.

Billionaires? SCOTUS says they can buy elections.

The legacy of the John Roberts Supreme Court.

Proud to be a leader in the North Country AG industry.

Great hosting farmers from outside the U.S. who came to see how we keep our cows comfortable every day. We’ll always work together to keep farms strong and food affordable!

The Pres. of the Association of Classical Christian Schools, is now calling it a β€œsin” to send your kids to public school.

Public schools are one of the last shared institutions where kids of different backgrounds still learn together. Calling them a β€œsin” is a warning about their agenda.

I can say from personal experience that Putin is threatened by strong women.

As I argue in a new piece in @foreignaffairs.com, he and his fellow autocrats have reason to fear us:

Defending women's rights and combating authoritarianism is the same fight.

Would be nice to have a Congress right now. We could maybe even put them in charge of funding our government and signing off on wars. Just a thought.

Third American death linked to ice uncovered by Newsweek While the 23-year-old's death was reported in March 2025, it was not made clear that a federal agent fired the fatal shot.

DHS successfullyβ€”until nowβ€”covered up the murder of a third US citizen on Texas' Padre Island, the sort of thing that can only happen in GOP-ruled Texas. ICE agents shot and killed Ruben Ray Martinez, 23, last year, but DHS covered up the whole incident, Newsweek reports.

Feed algorithms are widely suspected to influence political attitudes. However, previous evidence from switching off the algorithm on Meta platforms found no political effects'. Here we present results from a 2023 field experiment on Elon Musk's platform X shedding light on this puzzle. We assigned active US-based users randomly to either an algorithmic or a chronological feed for 7 weeks, measuring political attitudes and online behaviour. Switching from a chronological to an algorithmic feed increased engagement and shifted political opinion towards more conservative positions, particularly regarding policy priorities, perceptions of criminal investigations into Donald Trump and views on the war in Ukraine. In contrast, switching from the algorithmic to the chronological feed had no comparable effects.
Neither switching the algorithm on nor switching it off significantly affected affective polarization or self-reported partisanship. To investigate the mechanism, we analysed users' feed content and behaviour. We found that the algorithm promotes conservative content and demotes posts by traditional media. Exposure to algorithmic content leads users to follow conservative political activist accounts, which they continue to follow even after switching off the algorithm, helping explain the asymmetry in effects. These results suggest that initial exposure to X's algorithm has persistent effects on users' current political attitudes and account-following behaviour, even in the absence of a detectable effect on partisanship.

A new paper shows that less than 2 months of exposure to Twitter’s algorithmic feed significantly shifts people’s political views to the right.

Moving from chronological feed to the algorithmic feed also increases engagement.

This is one of the most concerning papers I’ve read in awhile.
