South Korean opposition moves to impeach president after remarkable misstep Lawmakers could vote to impeach Yoon Suk Yeol as soon as Friday. Regardless of the outcome, it is clear that the president’s political future is in grave doubt.

There are three hard and fast rules in South Korea:

1. Don't wear shoes inside.
2. Don't eat on the subway.
3. Don't mess with a hard-won democracy and a citizenry that's time and again shown in will take down authoritarian presidents.
