02.02.2026 16:37 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Just back from taking the car in for its MOT and service. Walked home via the brook. Plenty of moorhens and pairs of mallards. But few things cheer my soul as much as seeing the little egret, which seems to have become a fixture recently. Maybe it's the famous all-white strip.
02.02.2026 09:24 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0No idea whether Palace and Forest drawing is good, bad or indifferent for #lufc. On balance, would probably have preferred Forest to lose. Kinda think when Palace get JSL in, if he really is a £43m striker, and Wharton back, plus being 3 points ahead, they're likely to finish higher. Who knows?
01.02.2026 16:02 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 8 📌 0I was muttering 'They're playing in a different league' as me and @johnnygiles.bsky.social left Elland Road yesterday.
Their subs maintained the relentless press and scored. Ours just didn't make a dent on the match. #lufc

01.02.2026 11:14 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I just thought they were really good. Not blow you away John Barnes / Thierry Henry style good. But just an impassable wall at the back, well-rehearsed in midfield and fast & competent in attack. Too good for us in every department. But no hate, no shade, as the youth say. We just need to finish 17
31.01.2026 23:02 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I was planning to write 'no obvious injuries', but ran out of characters.
Anyway, a sobering reminder of our relative standing in this league. At least we won't have to play them again. Unless the FA Cup can do its usual magic #lufc
Ah.
31.01.2026 18:24 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Back at the station and just caught up on everyone's take. A lot of sense - Arsenal have spent several years and a billion pounds assembling that squad. They have more quality in every aspect of the game, and they work bloody hard too. GD took a hit as predicted, but no #lufc injuries. Move on.
31.01.2026 18:00 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I'm on the train coming up from King's Cross - Arsenal fans sat behind me seem to be assuming a 3-0 win for them. Objectively, that's not unrealistic. But it's got me doing the Kevin Keegan rant in my head. #lufc
Anyway, keep the goal difference down and keep everyone fit for Forest.

30.01.2026 18:39 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Stats can be misleading. Memories even more so. I thought we'd lost more or less every game against Arsenal in the 21st century 4-0. Turns out that's not quite the case. Over the last 30 years #lufc 's record against Arsenal is P32 W5 D5 L22. Arsenal have scored 3 or more in 13 of those games.

A fruitful set of letters through our history - Hair, Hernandez, Giles, Hart (E), Greenhoff (J) etc.
Then there's B/C and S as key surnames, off the top of my head. #lufc
Harris, Hart, Hird too.
Flynn, Greenhoff, Gray, Gray and Graham adding to the alphabetical bunching.
Good effort - didn't they say capacity was about 500? We're seeing them at the last date, Cambridge Corn Exchange.

28.01.2026 21:30 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Slightly bored by this Champions' League scuffers as-it-stands frenzy. But is there an #lufc angle? If one of the teams we're due to play in February drops into the play-offs (Chelsea? City?) might that give them a midweek game before our PL match? Or is that wishful straw clutching?
28.01.2026 20:54 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0We're now four wins away from 38 points. OK, twelve draws. #lufc

26.01.2026 19:56 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Good shout. Play offs, promotion, relegation and the possibility of Europe means there's not many seasons where there hasn't been something to play for over the last 40 years. Apart from that strange spell in the mid-2010s when we were becalmed in 15th in the 2nd division. Plus 96/97, 04/05 & 20/21.
