Agreed!
05.02.2026 05:53 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Also fun: magazine covers for canceled games.
24.01.2026 15:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I've seen a few people comment how they love the "Conan reference" here.
Reminds me of when I worked on Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and everyone was loving that Beenox added a reference to "Spider-Pig" from The Simpsons Movie.
At least you canโt accuse her of judging a book by its cover. โCause it has an objectively great cover.
23.01.2026 12:25 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Just caught a few minutes of @p1podcast.comโs Episode 1000 extravaganza. Congrats, guys!
@liretro.bsky.socialโyou guys need to help them celebrate their upcoming 20th anniversary milestone with a panel (itโd be @sewart.bsky.socialโs second LIR panel appearance!).
I meanโฆyou canโt really say Vikor wasnโt unlicensed Conan to begin with, soโฆ ๐
22.01.2026 23:03 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm such a MOTU nerd, one of my biggest reactions watching the new trailer was, "Was that Vikor?!"
Yes. Yes, it was Vikor.
Who knows how good the actual movie will be -- but no one can deny they're NAILING the fan service.
The only way I could be sure is to have the money for a car wash or something.
(If itโs not obvious, that whole response was phone suggested. Thankfully, I have enough money for a car wash. At least for now.)
IT LIVES!
@sewart.bsky.social invades to give me the inside scoop on Robotech Invasion. How does someone go from being a fan to working on the thing? And how is @cbake.bsky.social involved?

I still regret never actually visiting the wonders of Kentia. I know I missed out.
That press demo I remember was actually an onsite visit to Oak Brook for EGM, OPM, and Expert Gamer. (Pretty sure John had recently moved to Japan at that point.)
And I remember Enix framing that three hours as a selling point when they demoed it for a preview. (And us kinda actually eating it up.)

31.12.2025 21:36 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0See? Itโs not even good at being a Throw Momma From the Train figure.
31.12.2025 15:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I love the idea of this existing, but the design has me hearing it shout out โHERMAN!!!โ
31.12.2025 14:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Fun bonus: You can also make out our first cable box -- totally dial-based -- which was on the floor for some reason. We had probably had cable for a handful of months at that point.
30.12.2025 20:49 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Finally, I spy Chutes & Ladders, the Donkey Kong board game, a Lite-Brite, and...some action figure set I don't recognize at all. Probably generic toys of some sort. Anyone recognize?

Something kind of stunning I'd learn years later: I always thought he was meant to capitalize on Pac-Man -- but the toy debuted in Japan in 1976...where it was called PAC-MAN!!!
The centerpiece there is Kid Kong (open box to the right), which I tweeted about back when Godzilla vs. Kong debuted on HBO Max.
Not sure how I found the commercial buried in this YouTube video, but I'm glad I did: youtu.be/QUZz7cB-now?...
Random photo (of a photo) of me I just stumbled upon from Christmas morning 1981.
How many toys and board games can you identify?
Wow, havenโt thought of that show in ages! Loved it, though.
And yes, my Spider-Man-video-making era was full of Fudgebudger source credits.
Someone calling me "oddly formal" was such a specific, on point comment that I used it as a touchstone for writing a game faction.

23.12.2025 20:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0RIP Gil Gerard -- one of the first live-action heroes I remember loving on TV as a kid.
And this tweet from just after I saw Endgame is still my head canon until proven otherwise.
Looking forward to this one!
While downloading, I remembered I reviewed the NES version, I think in 1999 for the All Game Guide. T2Dโs attract mode (it has a legit attract mode!) already surpasses that one. web.archive.org/web/20141116...
@p1podcast.com Congrats, guys! I know @sewart.bsky.social loves his emojis. Looking forward to your expansion into Washington state and beyond. www.replaymag.com/player-one-o...
12.12.2025 16:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I love that Ando Prime is featured in the Galactic Racer trailer -- a callback to the original Racer. It was also seen in hologram form in Episode II.

TWO huge Star Wars game announcements at #TheGameAwards now? That's so wizard!
12.12.2025 03:31 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The commercial taught me that that one cool piece of classical music I knew was Beethovenโs Fifth. It also taught me answering machines existed.
It was clearly an educational production.
