10.11.2025 17:51 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This was a good surprise for today that I cynically was not expecting.
10.11.2025 17:47 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0They fought for this. The least we can do is hang on. There can be a parade later.
10.11.2025 17:46 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0need to rethink what our entire lifetimes look like and what makes meaning/ful occupation so that you're not 106 and feeling small because you don't know how to do something besides climb a ladder and stay there.
10.11.2025 17:45 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yeah, that shit needs to go. I can see it being hard for some otherwise well-intentioned folks to understand that the challenges they faced (or got sidelined) have changed, because I see it outside of politics as well. And I think that as we shift to have longer lives, we

10.11.2025 17:36 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I don't think that's related to age, though, just to them sucking individually. I hate that people (others, not you) use that alone to deny seniors care and civic participation, and an excuse for them slacking on scrutinizing their incumbents, which should happen to the youngsters, too.
10.11.2025 17:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Definitely too much of this. It's not about holding to a dear value so much as a fear others can get something (because that's not fair, somehow).
10.11.2025 17:32 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I contacted all of these feckless pukes this morning. They have functioning websites if you're not a longtime listener, first-time caller.

10.11.2025 17:27 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0But that would mean upending everything and why would we ever do that when we can cling to our beloved, flawed, exceptionalist systems.
I'm ready for what was supposed to be -- for chances to examine and better our rights, ideals, laws.
Of course, I'd personally love to see a 15-20 group get voting rights and responsibilities, and have that paired with some kind of senior citizens caucus-- think about what you want to grow for the future, think about how to care for a lifetime.
10.11.2025 17:25 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I'm really finding that going hard on stuff like age limits is like the people who double down on both parties equally bad. It's trolling to justify a lack of participation and organization.
10.11.2025 17:25 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I'm sorry to throw a wrench in what you're mad about, but campaign finance reform and an end to Citizens United are better fixes for what you're mad about than age or term limits (and limiting the free will of voters).

I voted! Here is a photo of my sticker. You should vote too if you are eligible.
I do not like voting in schools. That nearly always means students were displaced. I also prefer mail voting, because it's secure and convenient.
I don't care if you have Halloween, Christmas, election, or Valentine's Day decorations up today. I don't care what tunes you're piping into this retail establishment. Do what makes you happy. (Particularly if it includes strings of lights during the darker time of year, N Hemisphere.)
