Played a 2k game today, my Death Korps v Blood Angels. The mission was Supply Drop. I hammered the Angels earlynin, but they biunced back. I managed to pull out a 35 to 28 win.

Thanks! I was very tempted to do something based on the Old School red and black, but I've already got a red AdMech army so wanted to try a color I've not used before.

Today I finished up 10 Infernal Cohort with Hasutite Spears. I really like how these turned out and I feel the level of detail is just right for massed units.

Any of the Combat Patrol boxed sets are a good starting point. If you know what faction your son likes then there will be at least one box for that faction. If you don't know what he might like, Space Marines are basically the gateway army for most players. Good luck!

Yeah, they are pretty brutal.

The armor is great, and the work on the icons is just brilliant!

For a 70 point unit, the opening Scout move is such a good ability. In this game the Varanguard got hung up not wanting to charge them since I had a reinforced unit of Bull Centaurs waiting to countercharge. I didn't lose a single Hobgrot during the game.

Tonight my Helsmiths faced off against Slaves to Darkness in the Surge of Slaughter scenario. The Hobgrots locked up objectives and Bull Centaurs kept them clear for a win.
