Jane Goodall: 'Change is happening. There are many ways to start moving in the right way' The primatologist and ecological activist on why population isn’t the only cause of climate change, and why she’s encouraging optimism

“You remind me of my favourite chimp, David Greybeard.”

I will never cherish a compliment more than this one from Jane Goodall.

RIP to an extraordinary human being and an inspiring campaigner for nature.

"No more climate change worship", Hegseth tells US military leaders 🙄.
They know a lot better.
I know that first hand, having been invited to speak at a NATO workshop on Climate Change Security.
Climate science is not woke or religion or whatever, it’s hard-core physics and data analysis.

Jane Goodall entered the forests of Gombe to listen to the whispers of chimpanzees — and in their eyes, she saw our shared story. She reminded us that nature is not just a stage, but the essence of life itself. Her science was never cold: it was love, and the courage to live in harmony with all beings

Today, the world lost an extraordinary and beautiful human being. In light of the horror that surrounds us right now, seems like the perfect time to reflect upon her legacy and true wisdom.

Vale, Dr. Jane Goodall 🙏❤️

When China makes a climate pledge, the world should listen Beijing has a track record of only promising what it plans to deliver. But too often the world’s attention is elsewhere.

Having promised to peak emissions this decade, barely 50 years after it began to industrialise in earnest, China looks set to achieve that. And in the process, become a world leader in wind power, solar energy and electric vehicles. theconversation.com/when-china-m...

Wow! This ICE agent has bigger problems than just dropping his gun.

Just asking questions: why is tough guy pointing a gun at bystanders, and does he even notice that the magazine is on the ground too?

Former California Insurance Commissioner Carries on Climate Change Crusade When Dave Jones first started talking about climate change and what insurers should be doing about it some 15 years ago, the response could be thought of

Operational Command of Poland's Armed Forces says that the operation in the country's airspace has been concluded.

Russia has not been mentioned, although Prime Minister Tusk has named the drones attacking Poland as Russian.

I realize how complicated this situation is for Poland and NATO.

The U.S. government has become a neofascist regime run by a sociopath.

Keeping it funded now is to participate in the most atrocious abuse of power in U.S. history.

So I for one have decided that the best route is to shut the whole thing down.

These images from Poland show the aftermath of the Russian drones crossing the border into Poland.

Several facts already point that their movement, the direction of the drones' flight was not accidental.

It's not enough to acknowledge that the drones were Russian.

Anyone who wants a Covid vaccine should be able to get one, no matter what state you live in.

Remember: There is nothing natural or inevitable about extreme inequality; it’s the result of an economic system that values wealth and power over human dignity and justice.

It doesn't have to be this way.

This is what happens when justice serves power instead of people.

Banksy’s latest piece shows a judge beating a protester. They rushed to throw up barriers to hide it.

We need this here because it looks a lot like our own Supreme Court vs. the people.

As a bookish kid, I admired the Supreme Court for having the character to unanimously come out against segregation in the 1950s, when no other branch of our government would have had that courage.

So it saddens me to see it lose its way and endorse judging people for the color of their skin today.

This is more than a personal victory. It’s a powerful sign of resistance against the climate of Erdogan’s repression — one that we saw again just days ago with the violent occupation of the CHP provincial HQ. The Turkish people deserve better: a country of rights, not fear. 2/2
