More Americans are waking up to the facts of food insecurity in the USA. This SNAP issue puts it in perspective. But not everyone qualifies for SNAP or WIC.

Some go hungry without help.

I recently lost 80 pounds. People assume Ozempic. Nope. Just no money for food. I can't afford to eat.

Overnight, I charge my Kindle.

At 9am, I switch the breakers to my house OFF and shut the whole thing down. I have no real food to spoil, so I don't have a fridge or freezer--just an icebox!

But, this is not the American Dream I was promised if I was a good girl.

I turn off the circuit breaker to the house during the day. My fridge and freezer are bare and have been for months. I charge my electronics and have power in the evenings. I keep warm in my car when things are cold and wet.

I'm a good girl. We did everything right. Why is it so hard?

How did this happen in the USA?!

It is a huge deal. The future of quite a few members of the family has changed.

Women no longer have the right to their own bodies. Same-sex couples and interracial marriages are next. Non-Christian religions are also under threat.

When "THEY" can take your rights away, then what you thought were rights were really privileges.

Couple three days ago, Trump announced plans to construct an "Arc de Trump". He wanted to be on Mt Rushmore. He's desperately seeking a memorial because he knows he's dying and he wants to see something permanent before he croaks.

He's trying to live to see it; speed is of the essence.

Luckily, I have access to a local church's charity clothing where things are free. Since I can't afford food, I've lost 90 pounds this year. These nice ladies have really made a difference.

Well, it's Friday! Payday! I get to eat my first meal since Tuesday! YAY.

Seriously, not even joking. My fridge is an expensive waste of space, I've unplugged it and the empty chest freezer.

I awoke this morning and started coffee and cleaning.

I went out to my porch to greet the dawn and sip my coffee. I found Daisey's remains. A 17 year old barn cat.

She was simply magnificent and I will love and miss her forever.

In 2006 I brought home Poppy and Daisey. Pretty kitties with a back story.

Poppy is 17, and so was Daisey.

Today? We lost Daisey- a torbie with the sweetest eyes. She left gently. She was delicate and pretty.

We're choosing her spot and her accoutrements.

Be beautiful, Darling.

Because, you stupid man, they are HUMANS and all HUMANS need and deserve healthcare.

If I go to the ER with, I dunno, inflamed gall bladder (which hurts a fuck ton!) and a brown or black person has, I dunno a hatchet in their skull? By all means, go ahead. I'll bring you flowers!

Oh, Jane Goodall. I so wanted to be just like you! I studied and taught Anthropology for almost three decades, and I was so inspired by you. Your LEGACY will certainly continue. Rest in Peace, my mentor.

She's the reason I studied and taught Anthropology for my entire career. She was an entire knock-out and I am full of sorrow.
