Yeah, considering the passion for women's sports (& esp soccer), it's crazy how overlooked the entire PNW region is. It makes me actually angry because why is that not rewarded, but there's multiple games every yr between Texas, Florida, and various red states with little support. Give us 1!

Who do we ask? I'm constantly irritated at this also. Seattle just got a USWNT friendly (v Japan) & it's so frustrating. They haven't come to the PNW in yrs (PDX in over a decade) and then they choose the city who have 14 fans show up for their league team? Portland constantly left out/overlooked.

And they're bleeding the elite talent that's left from when we did have ambition, and not replacing it. They're not even getting top-tier college talent anymore, and also just buy only random "prospects." Bhathals haven't brought in 1 new elite starting in-prime player yet since they've taken over.

Of course Sam didn't wanna stay here, the ownership hasn't proven any sort of commitment to build a viable championship winning team *now* around our elite in-prime players. They're the youngest in the league and they just keep buying rookies and "prospects." That's never been the DNA of this team..

So tired of the slide of this once historic club after every poor offseason. Feels like it's all been eroded. It's been 3-4 yrs of bleeding talent & not replacing it, compounded by the dragging feet of our FO/ownership w/ the constant coaching issues. Fix the first franchise b4 buying another, plz!!

Yeah, my guess is Deyna and Alidou are out by the end of the season at the latest. And Daiane will be for good. They should try to do what the Spirit have done and get citizenship for some...Kouassi, Santos, and Bernal all now have citizenship after the offseason thanks to their GM.

That was my impression also from the limited UWCL games I've seen her in. Would be a solid backup to Fleming (or alongside dep on formation.) Still hoping a starting 6 is coming, but possible they wait until summer when overseas players might be more available if they want an experienced player.

Comparing the roster from 2022 (and before) to 2026 is incredibly sad.

Right lol. Like, anyone expecting the captain of that game who is maga-adjacent at best to speak out or lead any sort of in-game protest is v confused about the happenings in this country. People got a lot of cognitive dissonance about her, unfortunately.

They kind of are if people are expecting her to be a voice to speak out (which I've seen many folks say.)

Trinity is also antivax and comes from a maga family from a rich white county in southern CA, and is dating a maga dude. Trinity will not be the one to speak out on this, unfortunately.

She's not though....she's one of the few USWNT players who have posted multiple times about it. I think her "pride" is more playing for "THEE" USWNT and the honor of that...not an endorsement of the country rn. She is progressive and so is her family.

They used to say she was bad/not ready for USWNT, but now that they definitively can't say that...the reasons shift. Also heard they don't like her because her family is Mormon (although I've literally never seen Liv talk abt religion), & Liv also doesn't follow problematic people unlike others
