There is nothing like Fasching parades for political commentary and fun all thrown together. I had friends who lived on the route in Wiesbaden. It was fantastic.

It is almost time for the #gemandmineral show in #Tucson again. My husband is going. I’m staying home this year. It was way amazing seeing things like this, but my focus is elsewhere this year.

We visited some of the Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show while in #Tucson. It was a sight to behold, with some stones weighing thousands of kilograms on display. There were entire dinosaurs. And of course gemstones cut for jewelry and rough for lapidary. Amazing! I loved this one. #gemstones #minerals

I was in 4th grade. We were taking a spelling test when the principal came on the intercom and said he’d been shot. Minutes later she announced he was dead. We were little kids, still many were crying. I wasn’t. I was shocked and bewildered. The world wasn’t safe anymore.
