Checking #cameratrap footage and amidst the hundreds of files was this wonderful matriarch of the forest staring straight at the camera lens while she sussed it out. Seeing wild boar in their natural, curious state still gives me such a thrill.

I've lived with wild boar in Portugal for many years, watched their humbugs play, and waited for them to move so I could drive home and cursed them when they dug up my veg plot.
One thing's for sure living with wild boar is never boring 😴 drumroll 🥺
