I put my finger on why I got so annoyed during my career coaching conversation: I want to be valued for my triumphs, not my tragedies.

The words “I hear you. I see you.” mean a lot.

Don’t say “but for the grace of Gd go I” aloud to someone you’re trying to help; keep it to yourself. While intended as gratitude & kindness towards others, aloud, it implies that you’re not only grateful for not being as bad off as them, but that they aren’t receiving Gd’s grace.

Just don’t.

For anyone who has gone through this: how does one “bridge” wherein you cannot find a job that pays the bills, but have to slow the bleeding? Is it better to do FT or PT while still searching, networking and interviewing, etc? Advice welcome!

Honestly, the #NoKings was the calmest, most peaceful and positive protest I’ve ever attended. Smooth from parking to protest, gathering, dispersing, and respecting the laws from littering to traffic. The fake news that there was anything like violence or terror is just smoke and lies. Sad.
