@snell.zone @blankbaby.bsky.social Did a thing at work that made for a very heavy lift for the last 4 mos. What was a woman to do but start listening to Barker and Lewellyn at book #1. Here I am, six chapters into book TEN and already blowing my mind! The peak! Scaling it! Thanks & happy holidays!!

@snell.zone Thank you for something very few people probably love as much as me: Incomparable Bookclub episodes. They are kinda rare and precious and I just started over from the beginning, from 2010. The original mention of zeppelins! Anyway, thanks for reading and talking about books.

MY best books of the year. These books have stayed with me and gave me the best reading experiences. They reminded me why I read. Some I wanted to share and some I wanted to hoard. Each book gave me exactly what I wanted, something I didn’t know I needed, and made me feel valued as a reader.

I really like books where there is a town…with a secret! Here are five I could think of tonight. Do you have any favorite such books?

Oh that’s wonderful. And if you haven’t listened to them then you can look forward to listening to them all too!

Thinking about Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovich β€œI left in a hurry before he could change his mind, but I want to make it clear that at no point did I break into a skip.” Magic’ll do that!

For some of us, make-believe is the only relief in a world full of horror and uncertainty.

Yeah, there’s no one quite like him. I started the collapsing empire empire series recently and it’s great in just the right way. I think my favorites, actually, are the Lock-in and Dispatcher stories. I read them on audio though.
