My back hurts so bad

It's been raining for like a week straight now and I'm mildly concerned for my garden

Watched a squirrel jump around in the tops of the trees behind my house. They make it look so easy but I am so scared of heights it made me a little queasy. Was visited by one of the two male cardinals who live around my house, the brighter of the two.

i got the rubber tip for the cane i'm making for myself! there's a few other minor aesthetic things to add but the hard work is done. i'm so pleased- from tree branch in my yard to pretty usable cane by my own hands. nice.

go to a swamp. go to a marsh. go to a bog. enjoy it.

I also saw a garter snake out there the other day, which I hope means the early days of a slightly healthier ecosystem, because I rarely see snakes. There are so many birds, too! More than last year. I don't know if that's the garden or coincidence but still lovely

There are also a few baby cucumbers starting and my mom's new rose bush has three buds.

My milkweed I bought made l bare root is sending up new growth and it's so so beautiful. I'm growing other native flowers near them to attract and feed adult butterflies as well as milkweed for the caterpillars. It will probably be a full year before I notice a difference. So exciting

Right now I think the nicest thing I can wish other people is a very boring day where nothing earth altering happens. Wouldn't that be nice?
