I'm a minority in the UK - a left wing Jew with no love for Israel whatsoever. People already try to throw me in a bucket with Israeliphiles and it wears pretty thin.

It's not concern trolling to hope that my allies in opposing genocide are also not racist. It's like the bare minimum. We don't throw minorities (in the sense of 'smaller groups', in this case Israelis who oppose the genocide) under the bus for the sake of easy generalisations.

I'm not disputing that it's true. The facts speak for themselves. I'm just saying that their response to 'some Israelis are protesting' was basically 'i don't care'. It's important to retain nuance or we lose the very humanity we're trying to protect.

You're right, and the meaning is different. But I don't think the meaning is necessarily any better.

Let's also ditch racism, eh? 'The entire population is bad in the same way' is exactly the justification Israel uses for genocide. Please be better.
