I've never read Homestuck, but interestingly this is how I feel about The Locked Tomb series, whose author wrote HS fanfic and which is widely regarded by those in the know to share considerable DNA with HS.

I've seen speculation that it's TMNT, which would not fit the bill for me. I think only Dune would excite me at this point.
