- Talk about their problems
- Be entertaining
- Show empathy
Altruism goes a long way.
that's why i stopped chasing new releases and only read classics LOL

Fail more often.
My metrics (in order):
1. Lifestyle
2. Fulfilment
3. Revenue
4. Email subs
5. All the other vanity crap.
I stopped looking at open rates long time ago β haha

Yes, I've been posting since November 2021.
A common writing mistake:
Trying to please everyone.
Do this and your content will sound flat & boring.
Instead:
- Be authentic in expressing your ideas.
- Identify and write for your target audience.
- Embrace your unique style and perspective.
Itβs okay to make enemies.
That's a wrap.
If this was helpful, you know the drill.
1- Share the first post.
2- Follow me for more content creation tips
3- If you're really motivated, join my daily emails
As a result:
I got free exposure to 20k+ subscribers.
Some of them opted into my list (and bought products)
WWAI wasn't the only publication I collaborated with.
Bottom line: Keep publishing, opportunities will show up.
4/ COLLABORATIONS
The more content you create, the more you increase the likelihood of getting noticed by the big dogs.
My work got noticed by folks like @nicolascole77.bsky.social
I wrote 2 guest posts for the awesome Write With AI Substack...
3/ SEO
Don't get mad at me.
But when you write an article that ranks for SEO, you'll get hundreds of people seeing your content each day.
Focus on low-competition keywords.
Promote your lead magnet in those articles and watch your list grow on autopilot.
2/ SPONSORSHIPS
More and more people want to monetize their newsletters.
And they'd happily feature your newsletter in exchange for a fee.
So find other creators in the same niche and pay them to feature your newsletter.
1/ REPURPOSE YOUR CONTENT
I started with content on Facebook and YouTube,
But I didn't get any traction.
So I turned that content into Medium articles.
Those took off in 3 weeks.
The takeaway?
Use content you already have and try different platforms.
It took me 4 years to go from 0 β 5,034 email subscribers.
86% of my growth happened within the last 8 months.
Here are my 4 best list-building strategies:

Doesnβt make sense in the case you do daily (like I do)
The greatest breakthroughs are born with tight runways
Wishing you all the best my friend
Followers donβt mean fans
Fans donβt mean client
Thanks for your honesty, Dago
