I'm impressed by how light weight the Apple on-device Foundation LLM is for Apple Intelligence, so I vibe'd a small macOS tool (26.0+) to interact with them. It supports GUI and CLI and tool calling. Even big responses fail to move the CPU/GPU by a single percentage. Link below.

How Hacked Card Shufflers Allegedly Enabled a Mob-Fueled Poker Scam That Rocked the NBA WIRED recently demonstrated how to cheat at poker by hacking the Deckmate 2 card shufflers used in casinos. The mob was allegedly using the same trick to fleece victims for millions.

Two weeks ago, we at WIRED published a video showing how a hacked casino card shuffling machine can be used for undetectable cheating in poker. Now it turns out the mob and a couple of NBA stars were already (allegedly) using exactly this trick to make millions. www.wired.com/story/how-ha...

The ESP32 "backdoor" that wasn't | Dark Mentor LLC 4 day class covering the full Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol stack from the bottom (PHY) up to the top (GATT). The core of the class is built around playing with a game application on an Android phone, talking via Bluetooth to an IoT-type piece of hardware, and analyzing the communication between them. The 4th day is focused on assessing a cutomized Ultra-Vulnerable Peripheral firmware, running on Zephyr RTOS, which has had vulnerabilities introduced into it which are representative of vulnerabilities found in the past across many other platforms.
