Hey this sounds like a fantastic idea to me, Iโd definitely subscribe if you went through with it!
17.10.2025 14:14 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Finished first draft of a story today! Any day is a good day when you finish a draft. It'll need plenty of work down the line, but for now, it rests.
10.10.2025 19:38 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That's so exciting, congrats! I'd love to hear about your process for expanding a short, if you had any interest in sharing ๐ค
09.10.2025 16:55 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0What a great thread and discussion this is! Happy to have stumbled upon it on this, the Fifth Night of Halloween
06.10.2025 00:28 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thereโs a chance refreshing the Submission Grinder 1000 times a day wonโt make these responses come any faster.
But Iโm willing to put in the time to find out.
Heโs great and memorable in two different roles on Buffy!
01.10.2025 03:48 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Such a great songโI'd love to read a book with that vibe!
29.09.2025 20:46 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thanks for the rec, this sounds amazing!
24.09.2025 12:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโm sorry. Passes always hurt more after someoneโs expressed an interest (ie full request, or an editor holding a piece at a mag). Donโt give up hope ๐ค And enjoy the lasagna!
22.09.2025 20:24 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thanks, Emory! Slowly but steadily improving, both in health and outlook โบ๏ธ
22.09.2025 19:37 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Sounds like a list of poets whose work Iโd immediately purchase! Give us the list!
20.09.2025 14:23 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0โWow James, seems like this โtrapped in 2020โ feeling is pretty intense for you, maybe making some art about it would help?โ
โThanks, Iโve actually written a novel, two novellas, and have another novel WIP about it right now! Only one of them has a happy ending. Weird, right?โ
Spouse and I both have Covid, her symptoms more intense than mine. Between that and the rapidly rising wave of fascism in the US, it doesnโt take much to remind us weโre still living in the summer of 2020, and might always be.
19.09.2025 17:04 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0This shit with Kimmel, after what they pulled with Colbert, has me more scared than ever of this country. I don't think it's been safe here for a long time, and I don't know if I can stay much longer
18.09.2025 01:30 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0This is fabulous! Congrats Craig. Iโm currently looking at 60K words that just might be stronger as 40Kโฆand I canโt see any way to find out other than to find out!
15.09.2025 02:22 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thatโs so impressive! What was your strategy? Solely streamlining language, or removing storylines/characters too?
15.09.2025 00:49 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Same here re starting Halloween in September. Itโs hard enough not to dive in starting August! My current spooky read is Attila Veresโ The Black Maybe, considering moving on to Barronโs Imago Sequence next
05.09.2025 14:13 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Caught the NIN show in Philly last week, and they absolutely slayed! Honestly one of the best concert experiences Iโve had. Not many musicians are able to stay this vitally good for this long
05.09.2025 14:09 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Nice Indian Boy was so lovely and sweet! The Wedding Banquet is on the list now too, thanks for the recommendation ๐ค
01.09.2025 21:43 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0This sounds really great, hope it finds a home soon!
01.09.2025 19:21 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Heck yes, congratulations! Canโt wait to see it in print!
30.08.2025 17:37 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Wow thatโs an amazing title!
27.08.2025 15:34 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I couldn't agree more! It's a beautiful opportunity to do some strong storytelling for people of Buffy's current age who still feel lost, still need guidance in staying true to themselves while fighting the bad guys. But the TV powers-that-be think we just need another teen show? Missed opportunity!
28.07.2025 21:07 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'd definitely be interested in a print run, if that ever becomes possible!
28.07.2025 19:47 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Currently writing a surreal horror novel, in which an outbreak of missing persons coincides with the arrival of *mysterious strangers.* Definitely my most ambitious project so far, 3 POVs in separate but overlapping timelines, Murakami-meets-Armfield vibes. Challenging but super fun to work on!
25.07.2025 20:17 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ok heck yes I already have ideas for reviews
20.07.2025 02:31 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I haven't seen Years yet but I have to agree with the sentiment! Such whiplash in following his career. I was a really enthusiastic fan of Ex Machina and his Annihilation adaptation, but then there was a lot of...other stuff.
26.06.2025 17:58 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Hey, Iโd love to join!
