I really wish being a HS English teacher meant having protected time to sit with literary magazines and read/appreciate new pieces of writing each week.

(I mean, wouldn’t this be SO much more valuable than any other β€œPD” we spent time doing?)

Nuh-uhh! Uni-ball makes an erasable pen?!? I came here to recommend Frixion pens. Uni-Ball Visions were my favorites before I found erasables!

I have a master library that I keep the scripts/html in. That way, when I create a new sheet, I can copy a shorter script to create the menus and access the scripts/sidebar html without having to copy all of them to each new sheet.

I created a project in Claude (or Perplexity or ChatGPT as I experiment with other models) with all the scripts and sidebar html files. This allows the AI to keep the larger project in context when writing new scripts to avoid redundancy or conflicting functions.

I’ve got a ton of scripts. The ones I use most pull data from a turn-in Google Form to a unit-tracking Sheet. The other one distributes copies of files to students. I’ve also got some that will find and replace text (for typos/updates to student docs).

I've been using AI to help me code Google Apps Scripts for a little over a year. It's completely changed how I use Google apps with students!

What We Learned from Linda McMahon’s Confirmation Hearing | NEA The nominee is ready to dismantle the Department of Education and steer federal funds away from public schools to pay for private school vouchers and tax cuts for the rich.

Linda McMahon’s hearing confirmed what we fearedβ€”she won’t stand up for students.

She refused to protect public schools, backed private school vouchers, and ignored the needs of vulnerable students. Our students deserve better.
