How do we function in a post-truth paradigm? When even the skeptics are no longer certain whether a photo or video is real or not.
What comes next, after “truth”? This is not a rhetorical question. I honestly want to know how we move forward from here. 4/4

And in an authoritarian regime it’s not unusual for the powers-that-be to lie with impunity and the true believers will ignore the fact checkers, if the fact checkers are even allowed to live. But with the new powers of AI the lies and deepfakes are becoming undetectable. 2/4

The thing that terrifies me the most about our current times is the rapid extinction of the concept of truth. “Truth”—especially “photographic truth”— has always been a tricky term but we’ve generally been able to come to some sort of consensus about what is real and what isn’t. 1/4

At the side of the road another man in a suit is fleeing from a couple more dinosaurs. The lights of a town are visible in the distance.

I’m having trouble finishing anything that’s not explicitly for a client these days but here are a couple of things that are quasi-finished.

A fresh tattoo of wild garlic flowers with orange and teal watercolor style color and some artistic elements.

The wild garlic tattoo before I darkened it and added color and detail.

This 15-year-old piece never got finished to the client’s satisfaction so she came to me to give it some life.

Undiagnosed autism is spending your whole life doing things that make you uncomfortable or that are just not "you" (conforming) to avoid being mistreated (bullied) until you're so good at it that when you finally do get diagnosed, people around you don't believe you.
