That's not true. I would add that men such as Imane Khelif should not be allowed to fight women, and that women have the right to safety and fairness in their sports. What happened at the Olympics was so disheartening.

Many children who went through Tavistock GIDS say they were happy with what the help they received, that it was affirming and positive. Appraising a service to see who is helped and who is harmed depends on being able to speak freely without fear of being called hateful, bigot, nazi, fascist, etc.

I would be disappointed in you if you really thought that trans people feeling hurt means that JKR must be hateful. It doesn't even stand to reason.

If transwomen people don't feel safe in certain situations, that's not women's problem. Women won't take one for the team. Especially after Supreme Court's clarification on the Equality Act 2010. Good. Now trans people can only direct their activism in a way that doesn't take from others' rights.

It was disgusting the way that good people, with views different to yours, were made to feel like they had to be silent or face ostracism, just for recognising that the excesses of gender activism would have an impact on women, children and gays. So glad those days are over.

Women's rights depend on a definition in law of women as a sex class. Kids who would grow up to be gay are being told they're in the wrong body. Children can't consent to medicalisation on that basis. To me that's more important than transwomen feeling bad when reminded that they are men.

It's because you're a nice person that you're assuming I'm ignorant here and recommending me look into what JKR said. Reality is I probably know more of what she said than you do. And I stand by it. If you think she's harming trans, then you should assume the same of me. Neither of us harm trans.

In my experience, it's not "many, many folks" who JK lost the support of, it is an illiberal, bigoted, fringe minority. Some so extreme they publicly name her fascist, nazi and call for violence against her. Thankfully, most people are tolerant enough to agree with her politics. (3/3)

What we disagree on are the facts. JK shows a liberal position towards transgender & a liberal position to maintain protections in law that were hard-fought for the benefit of women, children and gays. For me, this is just, and I have vocally supported this for years. (2/3)
