Several years ago I did a rewatch of the first 10 seasons or so of the Simpsons and was *amazed* at how well the episodes that I hadn't seen since childhood still hold up. Wall to wall masterpieces.

I should note, she had never seen a single Star Trek before meeting me. We'd watched a little TNG previously, but just "best of" episodes, and it never sank its "just one more episode" hooks into her the way DS9 did where we ended up binging several episodes per sitting. It's a good show.

I introduced my wife to DS9 during lockdown and she loved it. My strategy was to skip the "filler" episodes in S1-3 and focus on "character" episodes; then starting in S4 we just watched straight through since the continuity gets more important (and compelling) around that point.
