Only up to Ep 3, and I just… don’t care? Ep 1 was a remake of Best of Both Worlds, Ep 2 featured the return of a beloved character we can’t name because canon, Ep 3 kills off a character who would have been far more dramatically interesting left alive.

And my omission of Chibnall there is not meant to be a slight. Chibnall WANTED a writer’s room approach because he knows he’s not RTD or Moffat. He wanted to split the work, and rightly so.

I’m not doing this under the controversial #DoctorWho opinion banner, but…

The role of EP and Head Writer should be split. The EP comes up with the structure; the Head Writer oversees scripts. RTD and Moffat are amazing writers, but it’s an exhausting level of work for one person.

IMO, a break is up to 18 months. Anything more is worrisome. It never ‘needs’ it, but it does tend to make me appreciate it more when it’s back.

I love how all the 1970s producers kind of didn’t want to do it at first, and were all wonderful in their own ways.
