A dragon based on a turkey tail mushroom. Its scales take on the shape, brown to greenish color and overall texture of the mushroom it is based on. This results in a frill around its neck and mushroom-like plates on its wings and body. It has antennae-like structures on its face and large eyes.

A watercolor illustration of a Rathalos from Monster Hunter. It is flaring its wings and has its claws and tail ready for an attack, as if it's swooping down towards something. Its scales transition from a crimson red on its back to a more dull tan on its belly and feet, with some black markings on its head, tail and wings.

Watercolor Rathalos fan art from earlier this year. I feel really happy with the way this guy turned out. Probably one of my favorite paintings I did this year.

It has dark patterning on its back, wings and face, and large eyes, with smaller wings framing its face that match the larger ones in color. The dragon's underbelly is bright yellow which shifts to vibrant green towards its tail. Its wings also feature the green to blue shift, as well as the yellow, some orange and white in a few areas. The dragon has a few moths flying around it as well.

Here's my Madagascan Sunset Moth dragon, painted in watercolors with some prismacolor pencil details from last year. I'm glad I built up the darker areas slowly with layers of color instead of just flat, I still feel happy with the result of this.
