Itโ€™s easy to think of backlash as a sign of failure. That the thing we believed in didnโ€™t stick, that people lost interest. But maybe thatโ€™s the wrong lens. Maybe backlash is actually proof that something mattered. If it was irrelevant, no one would bother pushing back.

Finland ends homelessness and provides shelter for all in need - scoop.me In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Why? The country applies the "Housing First" concept agains homelessness.

โ€œIn Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.โ€

It costs a lot less to house people.

A photo of a corner of a piece from the Big Issue magazine, the main quote is from David Graeber and says "what if,in stead of telling a story about how our species fell from some idyllic state of equality, we ask how we came to be so trapped in such tight conceptual shackles that we can no longer even imagine the possibility of reinventing ourselves?"
