It’s a fantastic community gallery and workspace.

They do have it all, they just don’t know how to budget like the rest of us have to.

That makes total sense, thanks you.

I wonder why they attended in the first place if they don’t want to acknowledge the truth of the society we live in.

I wonder if politicians know what communities are?

Thought exactly the same, whether private companies replace it and at what cost I don’t know. People living in remote areas will be hung out to dry. Having said that Royal Mail aren’t exactly covering themselves in glory.

I visit this gallery for their photography exhibitions and talks. It is a first rate experience, so welcoming it’s like a chat in your front room. Gayle and Chris work their socks off to promote art, and anyone who thinks artists in the valleys are scarce need to rethink and look again.

In the foreground there is a man on a bicycle silhouetted in deep shadow. In the background there is a graffiti covered shop front with the words 'Forgive Us Our Tresspases (sic)' Beyond the shop front we can make out some roof tops, a tree and a fairly clear sky. For those who might be interested, the shop in question has since been demolished.

On a street corner, deep in shadow, we see box shaped residential building with three rows of windows and a door. Painted on the end of said building is a huge wave. The wave itself is as high the building and mimics The Great Wave off Kanagawa by japanese artist Hokusai.

I was last in the area few weeks ago and this particular piece of street art is still there (happily).

A shop front, in this case a hairdressers, featuring a large advertising picture of a woman's face. She is looking out towards the camera. Either side of her, walking in the street are two men - both are a blur of motion but their standing feet (as they walk) are captured crisply. They are oblivious to the picture of the woman as she is of them - her main focus being the advertising of hair product. The gritty banality of the street scene, the blur of the two passerby and the striking beauty of the woman in the picture makes for a slightly surreal scene. It also amuses me that the thing that works about this image is somebody else's photograph.

Came across a reel on Insta. showing a photographer taking pictures of homeless men, posing them for styled shots. Massively post processed also added to the fact that these were simply for the photographer with no context of the subject’s situation. Truly awful.

It’s a sad indictment of the world we live in that people have to suffer like this whilst the mega wealthy hoard more and more through greed.

The talk was actually with the Workers G. But the venue was about 50 yards along the road in The Palace of Music, amazing collection of Wurlitzer type organs all still performing. Must visit if in the area, it’s unreal.

I find it a terrific image whatever the truth behind it, personally it had to be staged but the story is told anyway.
