Politicians and the environmental organizations they fund pat themselves on the back for protecting one area while they support destroying the adjacent area. It doesn’t work like that. It’s just virtue signaling… greenwashing. Meanwhile mass extinction is worsened by human activity every day.

Intuition, feelings… often dismissed, are wisdom and truth that aren’t on the logical quantitative side. Sometimes this dichotomy is described as masculine vs feminine. I think science and rational thought have also hijacked morality. Many people believe there is no truth outside the empirical.

So what’s the basis? Just curious what he would have said.

Explain in what way you can’t maintain things without the global expanse of industrial civilization? I’ll tell you what the hell my point is. You can’t maintain Earth with industrial civilization. Produce only whatever is necessary to keep the toxics safe. It’s really not that hard in concept.

I think you miss the point. No one is saying don’t maintain those things. But by clinging to industrial civilization for these reasons, we only make the end game worse.

The collapse of global industrial civilization is happening much faster than expected. It hurts terribly to watch these evil people do their evil things.

But I keep returning to the truth that the faster modern civilization is gone, the better off everything else will be.
