11.08.2025 17:27 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0But it definitely got better. He's sleeping through the night and napping on his own, and we aren't as sleep deprived anymore, and I'm actually able to focus on a full work day again. But really brutal for a long stretch there. And still recovering financially from having to take so much time off.
11.08.2025 16:46 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0But I'd prioritize it that way again, because it helped keep my wife from going just absolutely nuts. We have a toddler too, so she needed her attention too. It's like playing resource management with everyone's mental health.
11.08.2025 16:40 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yes, same thing. Our newborn was sleeping horribly, so I wore him all day. Not able to focus for more than an hour at a time. My work definitely suffered. And it didn't really improve until we started aggressively getting him to nap on his own at like, 4 months.
11.08.2025 16:39 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The hardest part for me was managing anxiety and the compulsion to just go 150% toward getting work. Because my wife and kids needed my presence daily, emotionally and mentally. So difficult to balance, and very hard to trust that things are going to work out.
11.08.2025 16:24 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I was in the same position at the beginning of the year, it is very stressful. You're quite talented, folks would be lucky to work with you. I'll keep an eye out.

I think it looks good and plays well but the story of the people it tells is what makes it incredibly gripping. Well worth your investment.
Take Us North is a powerful emotional story about the migrant experience crossing the US-Mexico border, made in deep collaboration with the people whose stories it tells.
I've enjoyed contributing to art direction & environment, highly recommend supporting them: www.kickstarter.com/projects/tak...

30.06.2025 23:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0hello I am happy to share that Sky Samurai still looks just really cool and is a lot of fun to play and can be possessed for the merest of one dollars
26.06.2025 23:29 โ ๐ 38 ๐ 6 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0So I would rather excel at these things.
27.06.2025 22:41 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Plus caring for two children and a spouse and three jobs and our finances and my basic needs. How do you be a person?
But I believe that being a good person is above all the most profound art, the most profound legacy, thousands of times more influential than doing something โimportantโ.
But not as simple as that. Art is more than entertainment. It is essential and profound. Hard to keep that in mind. Or working to find a way to marry the two impulses.
27.06.2025 22:32 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Shame on the economic model that incentivizes and enables me to entertain rather than minister to the most desperate and needy of people.

27.06.2025 22:23 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Was dropping my dad off and the guy nearby is crying โhelp!โ Turns out his headphone jack situation is just really complicated. So grateful for just 15 minutes of my attention.
27.06.2025 22:21 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Sorry for the heavy posts. But turns out Iโm pretty good at caring for folks who canโt move or talk much. Attentiveness, patience, listening, taking things real slow. Itโs a good feeling, meeting the need of someone so sundered from normal experience.
