and most women had 13 cycles in a year. This is still a little 🙄 to me; it’s simply proof that humans evolved on earth, & echo its cycles.

My best guess is that it’s not fear but a discomfort with the erasure of the months, erasure of women and the inevitable resurgence of that obvious knowledge.

I recall reading a children’s book of explanations for curious minds which said that the reason Friday the 13th was unlucky is because humanity feared the unknown, and couldn’t count past 12 (ten fingers, two feet). 🙄

I later learned it was that many cultures had 13 months, 13 full moons,… -cont.
