Just did my civic duty. Waited 30+ minutes and it was worth it. You need to vote Canada. It’s important.

To put it bluntly, Trump's reason for starting a trade war with Canada is to purposefully take out our economy at the knees. To make us weak and apathetic enough that we'll welcome a US takeover of our country with open arms. He's not interested in fair trade. He wants our territory and resources.

Before drifting off to sleep tonight, my sweet kiddo said “I love you more than chocolate.” This is massive because she really loves chocolate. #myheart

As an update, I was able to book a single week at an expensive specialty camp so now I'm up to 3 of the 9 weeks booked.

After 5 minutes of opening, the camp registration was full. I got 2 weeks only and didn't key in the correct activity options for my kid. There are 9 weeks to fill in the summer. Gah! This is the most stress inducing day in my entire year!

Summer camp sign up is this morning. Registration opens at the exact same time as school drop off. They don't allow you to select all of the weeks you need at once - you have to do them one week at a time. It's just evil.

My bluesky feed is far more political than it was when I joined the platform. I'm not surprised. I can't think of a time where more Canadians were angry about politics than we are right now. I really hope that people make their votes count.

Filming has started downtown Galt. Traffic so far is a little busy but I anticipate it will get worse as the week goes on. Have to love working in Cambridge.

The last time they set up the gallows I was unprepared. I went into the coffee shop as I usually do and it was just a cross. I came out and was startled by the body hanging there. It was jarring to be honest.

Haggis was such a surprise for me too. I really liked it. You know what else can be really good? Scotch eggs.

Kiddo and I got creative at the library today. Her love of @acookiegod.bsky.social is strong.

Another year has gone by and I haven’t been invited to go on a game show. I would’ve done awesome on Supermarket Sweep.

My husband is heartbroken and can’t even stand to be in the same room as her. This is not how any of us saw Christmas going this year.

She’s now piling the “woe is me” on really thick. Keeps saying she should be grounded. Being 9 is very dramatic and her fake tears are almost ready to fall.

She slept from 9 pm until 1:30 am and has been up ever since I think. She told me she’s been having a party all by herself and didn’t think about us.

Well the kid got up and opened every present with her name under the tree all by herself. I’m not sure what to feel right now. I’m so disappointed.
