The Authority, alongside local and state leaders, celebrated the completion of the project with a ribbon cutting ceremony in Fresno's Historic Chinatown.

America’s only high-speed rail project underway is fast approaching the track-laying phase, with 171 miles under active construction and design, 15,500 jobs created, & 50+ major structures completed.

In response to the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA):
Canceling these grants without cause isn’t just wrong — it’s illegal. These are legally binding agreements, and the Authority has met every obligation, as confirmed by repeated federal reviews, as recently as February 2025.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: The Avenue 17 Grade Separation in Madera County will improve east to west mobility! 🤝

Once a dead end, the grade separation will allow vehicular traffic to travel along Ave 17 from Lake St. to Raymond Rd, over the existing freight & future HSR tracks.🚄💨

Construction Update: The Avenue 88 Grade Separation in Tulare County is close to completion! ✅

The overpass is ready to be paved & striped! When complete, the grade separation will take traffic over State Route 43, the BNSF & future HSR tracks. 🚄💨

🚧 12 pre-cast girders
💪 161,795 lbs of steel

The Avenue 56 overpass is the fifth structure to be completed in 2025 and will take traffic over future HSR tracks!

✅Mass excavation for the underpass completed
🏗All 14 girders needed for the second bridge placed

The Tulare Street Underpass is expected to be completed & open to traffic this summer. #BuildCA

UPDATE: Hanford Viaduct |📍 Kings County

Crews recently resumed placing the remaining 112 girders! This is no easy task as some of these girders can be up to 10ft tall & weigh between 95-100,000 lbs.
