Plenty of Bee-flies recently in East Sussex. Yesterday, (not great photos, but you can see the wing spots), I saw my first Dotted bee-fly at Lullington Heath. Today, a better photo of a Dark-edged bee-fly. These were in abundance in Abbots Wood.

A Dark-edged bee fly basking on a sunlit slope of bare earth.
Taken on the phone camera, so not going to win any photography awards, but here's my first definite sighting this year of a Dark-edged bee fly, (Bombylius major) today in Rowland Wood, East Sussex. Will iRecord it.
