as someone that supports Man United, who owns Joao Pedro in fpl, this is about as badly as this match could've gone

fair play, Brentford *finally* keeping a clean sheet only for Flekken to have gotten injured after half an hour is objectively a very, very funny bit

oh god not form Vs analytics in #fpl, bluesky 😡

cmon, we've literally done all of this in the bad place and it didn't go anywhere except entrenchment, nonsense statements and then ad hominem
not to mention it's unbelievably tedious

so glad of the midweek gameweek.

i know a lot of teams look quite similar right now, but if this team gets a red arrow i'm packing it in. might try fantasy cricket or hard drugs

first team of the bluesky era.

Mo (C) for his 63 minutes and 1 assist, unplugging my modem from the wall for the City/Spurs match

hello bluesky

so, i need Palmer. my team value stinks, as does my team in general

the main options are:

- Foden + Gabriel > Hall + Palmer
- Foden + Haaland > Isak + Palmer

(i don't think you can do polls on here)

what's a boy to do?

Finishing "snakes" that show how players score vs xG over time, covering the top scorers in the PL this season. Mo Salah has a highly variable long career that is trending slightly downwards, Erling Haaland spends more time above the average line than not, but has cooled after a fast start to 2024-25, Chris Wood did not appear to be a "good" finisher until more recently in which he has been hot, and has been for a while. Bryan Mbuemo has trended generally up across a short-ish PL career. None of this is to forecast what these players may do in the future, but is interesting to visualise and tell a story around how variable finishing rates can be.

Your (current) PL top scorers.
Long term top flight finishing trends.
Chris Wood has been hot for a while, wasn't always.
Mbuemo chart, intriguing trajectory albeit comparatively short career at top level
