caitmkearns 100 Days of Walks Most of you know l've been housebound with agoraphobia for five years. When lockdown hit, it gave my disorder the perfect excuse to tighten its grip. I didn't need to leave-I couldn't leave. It was an agoraphobe's short-term dream and long-term nightmare. But for the past 100 days, l've walked. Just up and down my street, for now. Small steps, but consistent ones. I believe consistency will lead to normality, and normality to progress. Unlearning five years of habit and avoidance will take time, and that's okay. I've made peace with the fact that panic disorder will always be part of my life. There are things I may never be able to do because of it and that's okay, too. But what I can do is walk. To choose, every day, to open the door and put one foot in front of the other. Here's to the next 100

Teacher struck off after having sex with pupil The Sunday Telegraph23 Feb 2025 A school teacher has been struck off by a panel after he had regular sex with a female pupil. Thomas Marriott taught history at St Peter’s School in York from 2007 to 2011. A Teaching Regulation Agency misconduct panel heard that an inappropriate relationship began when he taught the pupil in the sixth form. The panel heard they began having sex while she was still a pupil and continued after she left. A decade later in 2021 she reported the matter to the police. Marriott admitted at York Crown Court three counts of sexual activity with a child in 2023 and was sentenced to 21 months in prison, suspended for two years.
