After several failed attempts, we finally found a Turtle Frog (Myobatrachus gouldii). Endemic to SW Australia, they only emerge a few nights a year to find mates.

There are stars visible in the sky which is tinged blue, illuminated by the waxing gibbous moon. The meteor has a fainter pink/purple tail that abruptly shifts brighter, halfway through the streak. The foreground is mostly brown grasses and chamisa.

It's a huge thing in Seattle zoning. Yhe only way to build dense housing in the single family home neighborhoods is to be part of an Urban Village where density restrictions are looser. (I think, there may be other loopholes)
