Great article on the Bureau of Labor & Industries and their progress on catching up on wage complaints. We need our enforcers to be resourced enough to enforce!

The Oregon Legislature has lost another tremendous advocate, in Rep. Hóa Nguyên, D-48 (SE Portland, Damascus, and Boring) She died of cancer, surrounded by family. On behalf of our driver community, our condolences & hearts are with you and yours. Thanks for fighting with us. Ciao chi.

Oregon bill would require Uber, Lyft to provide drivers minimum compensation rates, paid sick leave “Uber and Lyft drivers don’t get enough. They don’t get paid living wages," Senate Majority Leader Kayse Jama said.

“We work hard to make money for the company. I put insurance, I put tires and I work 60 hours a week sometimes. But we are slaves for this company.”

Drivers in Oregon met up at the Capitol in Salem today to fight for driver rights and support Senate Bill 1166! Thanks to tons of friends, family & allies we had a huge rally and a great hearing on the bill!

One of his final times in the legislature was last month when we appeared before his committee for our Informational Meeting for our rideshare bill. He told Uber & Lyft to pay their drivers more equitably.
