We wanted to give a more complete view of the impact our combined community care has made. 1/13-2/1: total raised $6,864.36 35 humans, 2 cats, and 10 dogs in hotel rooms for two to four nights. 2/4-2/8: total raised. $3,052 31 humans, 1 cat, and 5 dogs in hotel rooms for two to four nights. The remaining $255.48 from the supply drive went towards replacing wet clothes, gas for vehicles and propane to stay warm.

Severe weather shelters open in Washington County amid cold snap As temperatures plummet, Washington County has activated inclement weather shelters to provide refuge for those in need.

Happening now: Hospital staff and community members are currently protesting outside of the Seattle Children’s Hospital demanding the reinstatement of gender affirming surgeries for trans youth.

Temps are projected to be between 28 - 31 degrees at night and people aren't getting a chance to warm up during the day. The people already in rooms are extremely grateful for all of your generosity. Tonight, temperatures in Portland will drop to 29°. Tragically, our shelters don’t open unless it’s 25° or colder, leaving many of our neighbors out in the cold.

This is inhumane.
