Nobody has ever wanted anything to happen more than the Telegraph, GB News and their associated ethnonationalist influencer outriders want race riots to happen. Why do they hate this country so much?

Britain isn't broken We have our problems but the doomerism is getting out of hand

New post just out:

"Britain isn't broken"

We have our problems but the doomerism is getting out of hand.

I look at the real picture on crime, migration, social cohesion and the economy - rather than the dsyoptian fantasies of the radical right.

Russia’s drone swarms pierce Ukraine’s defences at record rate Proportion of Shaheds hitting targets tripled in recent months, according to analysis of official data

This is really bad.
Ukraine was for a while impressively good at intercepting these. But these numbers are difficult to fight.

I note that the main impact of 'tenant ballots' to try and block regeneration in London was... to be enthusiastic support for those changes from tenants

Along Haverstock Hill (C6), the Steele's Rd junction has reopened with its new continuous crossing. Uphill cycle track along here is still closed + not fully surfaced.

Just a little uphill from the junction, they've switched over to the north side of the planned parallel crossing.

Secondly, I am not sure it's fair to say that the Progress Pride flag represents "gender ideology" (whatever that is) rather than support for LGBT+ people more generally, including trans people. Very bizarre judgment imo.

Good to see in today’s nature & climate announcements from the govt:
- Confirmation that Land Use Framework will be published later this year, with updated principles;
- Restatement of 30x30 commitment & how we’re falling far short, action plan coming

More sections of the Piccadilly, Northern and Victoria lines now have 4G and 5G coverage More south London tube stations and tunnels now have internet coverage than ever before.

I’m pleased to announce 4G and 5G coverage is expanding on the Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria lines, keeping even more Londoners connected while travelling.

It’s a step towards full coverage across the Tube network and a better, more connected London for everyone.
