I think those extra slots made the end of the regular season more interesting. Agree that good teams with HFA will lead to uninteresting games. I would like 14 teams. Top two conf champs get 1st round byes. Next three conf champs get auto 3,4&5 seeds with HFA, setting up some interesting matchups.
