Sometimes, direct and cheerful action yields better results than stewing/doing nothing or being passive-aggressive. Though I may get a bit snarky with the hotel when I write to them. Because I need a laugh.

I did find by knocking on their door and asking them to keep it down but also telling them, "it isn't your fault. The walls are just garbage" they were super sweet and went to bed and stopped chatting with such exuberance.

They weren't really being loud or unpleasant. It was kinda nice to hear a couple of men just talking about whatever in a congenial tone. But they were still gabbing away at 3 am like it was a sleepover.

The hotel I stayed at had truly paper thin walls. For next door were a couple of American gentlemen who happened to be in the US military. (I could hear them talking about comms school and other work matters)

There are a bunch of lady pheasants in a field together. I do love a girls' day out.

As a reminder: these kinds of levels and exams are completely made up and typically children who go through traumatic events (earthquake, hurricanes, war) are considered to have experienced a disrupted education. We've given our children no such grace.

They told us how many people are on board, and how many seats there were. (Enough for everyone) and that it was our job to get a seat, and make room for others. Job well done.

Sure people can be absolute dickheads at times. The idiot in me, recognises the idiot in you. But I think when you give people the full information about a situation and provide a solution that collectively provides for all, people behave pretty well. This goes beyond nationality.

People are being pretty great. Offering to move seats so folks can sit with friends/family. Holding luggage in spaces as there isn't much room. I talked to a woman in the most gorgeous dress that she made.

I absolutely agree. I love how solid his information is to make all of this happen. He pointed out how to make things efficient so everyone can sit in an actual seat, and not be impolite with luggage.
