I feel our Dr/Patient relationship was set early on when he needed to do a breast exam. He politely asked for consent to examine me and I said, "Have at 'em."

One of my favourite GPs is finally retiring. He was the first doctor I encountered when I moved to the UK and he has been the best when I have needed help for gynecological matters. (he also fights for trans rights/access to healthcare.)

I have been feeling mostly okay lately. (definitely better than where I was last year.) But then the weight of everything going on, found its way in via an unlocked back door and wooooboy... it sure is a lot. Thankfully my greatest coping mechanism rolled up with a knife & said, "Let's fight this."

We have officially had to order another load of keys cos we've rinsed through our entire stock by 3pm.

Some good news

Anyhow, the chair is great. Now to keep the cats and the family from going near it.

I did it politely and said, "could I have some information" but just know in my head I feel a bit like this.

I am a pretty patient person but I do dislike it when a business farts around. It is the North of England not Chechnya. I don't like having to be a firm and serious person saying, "where the fuck is my chair?"

Then it was "info later this week." Another week passed... nothing. (now it was august) So I had to bring in the big guns (eBay) and holy cow suddenly it was about to be dispatched so let's be real cool okay? it is in the van. And it arrived today!

I bought this chair back in early June. I noticed they changed the potential shipping date to early August. A bit long... then I checked towards the middle of July, they wanted to wait until September to ship. Excuse me? I emailed them about it. Nothing. THEN again. "oh yeah we will get back to you"

It is a mid-century piece in the North of England and I was okay to pay for a courier to bring it down to Cornwall. The seller said, "Will send it out in a couple of weeks. Maybe five if super busy." Okay fine. They said they would contact me when it was sent out. Okay fine. Then... nothing.

I went on the hunt for a chair that fit my broad set of needs. I looked at new chairs and I wasn't impressed with the quality and I thought, "does it need to be new?"
So I went for a vintage piece and I found one but it turned into a whole adventure.
