At the Wild Dolphin Project, we study how dolphins communicate β using sounds and body language to hunt, socialize, and stay connected. Through photo ID, acoustic recordings, and long-term tracking, weβre learning how their social lives evolve and how human activity impacts them.

Dolphin bonding goes beyond just playful leaps and flips! One of the most noticeable behaviors is "pec rubs," where dolphins gently rub their pectoral fins together, reinforcing their social bonds.
