I'm glad Sinners is succeeding because it sounds like it's a hell of a movie. (Haven't seen, but even people I know who don't like it are GRAPPLING with it.) But I also like that its success singlehandedly dismantles, like, seven different corrosive lies Hollywood has told itself in the last decade.

Sinners invites a new bold business idea. What if people want to see movies because they like them and not due to a pavlovian response to being 12 years old once!?
