So, Caim got stabbed with Vecna's Dagger. And instantly died.

Meanwhile, a NPC ally was chaotic and attempted to steal Vecna's dagger. And failed.

He got saved, and yoinked the dagger too.

Everyone was so understandably mad at him, but he was like "No worries, just let me be, I'd work it out. Hakuna Matata".

They avoided the Slayer, but then they encountered... Vecna

Tonight players were helping out some allies to take care of an assassin that invaded their base.

Said assassin was actually the Slayer of Bhaal

Kinda wish I could stream my campaign with all the crazy shit that happens

Caim told his friend that he had been banging his sister and got stabbed and insta-killed with the dagger of Vecna.

Gonna have to give it a full rewatch sometime. Amazing film.

By that I mean, it's not just "hallucinations". What we see isn't just Beau experiencing psychosis and anxiety. A lot of it is actually real. The setting itself is very twisted, and going back to see some scenes, it's caused BY the mom, using her infinite money and power.

The movie is incredibly surreal. It's art, and with art, the artist's expression is also for personal interpretation.
Immediately, the film can be taken as severe trauma caused by an evil parent. But, I think there's a lot more to it than that.

Thinking more on the film, more clearly now that I have sleep.

For one, hate that I said "Silent Hill esque" like a nerd, when the appropriate term is Kafkaesque.

Just finished "Beau is Afraid"

Amazing film. It's psychological as fuck. At the core it's about the anxiety, the guilt, and the trauma of a controlling narcissistic parent to the extreme. But the movie builds up to that, with every scene making you go WTF? It's almost Silent Hill esque.

Yeah, but because it's SO WEIRD it should be talked about more
