The idea that your blood family gets a pass on bad behavior just because they're family is complete and utter bullsh*t. If they treat you badly then they don't deserve to have you in their lives, end of story.

Anger gets a bad rap. Sometimes it's a perfectly appropriate response. Like when a group of racist jerks tries to hijack your democracy.

It's takes all of my restraint to not say "I told you so" to these folks. It wouldn't change anything, but it's so tempting. 😑
